D-Link FY05 net down 9%

MUMBAI: D-Link (India) Ltd has recorded an 8.91 percent decrease in PAT to Rs 28.6 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005 as compared to Rs 31.4 crore in the last fiscal. Net sales increased by 23.5 percent to Rs 269.9 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005 as compared to Rs 218.5 crore in the last fiscal.






D-Link recorded a nine percent increase in PAT to Rs 8.2 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2005 as compared to Rs 7.5 crore in the corresponding period last year. The company achieved net sales of Rs 85.5 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2005 as compared to Rs 66.3 crore in the corresponding period last year, registering an increase of 29 percent.





The board has recommended a final dividend of 80 percent. After taking the interim dividend of 80 percent paid earlier, the total dividend for the year works out to Rs 160.





Commenting on performance, D-Link India CMD KR Naik stated, "We are happy to conclude our 10th year by achieving record revenues for the year. Recognizing that the future will belong to companies that offer quality service and support, we have increased our chip-level service support centers from four to 13 and would soon ramp it up to 20. We have started 24x7 toll free voice based tech support as well. During the year, we also launched security firewalls and routers designed and developed by our own R&D."





He added, "The market has entered a dynamic phase with the launch of broadband services and we are well positioned to capitalize on this opportunity."
