HYDERABAD: BBM Infotech Pvt. Ltd., a software products and services company, is developing a customized automation tool for cigarette and tobacco companies.

The Hyderabad-based company touted that the package would be more interactive

in nature, with less turn-around time.

Sanjay Solanki, VP - Finance & Projects, BBM Group said, “this product can
be integrated in multi-function environment, and also has the ability to
interface with existing ERP applications. Above all, it would cost 1/6th less

than the traditional ERP applications.”

J Srinivas, VP, BBM Infotech, said, “we are in the requirement analysis phase.
We should be able to finish the documentation work, testing and start the pilot

implementation soon. We intend to release the product in the next three to four

months.”

Solanki said that the geographies like UAE, West Africa, and Asia-Pacific would
be the targeted markets for this product. Detailing about the marketing

strategy, Solanki said, “BBM Group has presence in more than 90 countries,

hence networking and marketing our product only becomes easier.”

According to Srinivas, there are around 1,500 tobacco companies and around 400
cigarette factories across the world. “ERP applications from major players are

rigid in nature and expensive, and only few large companies have deployed them.

We are targeting the mid-sized and small companies in this space,” said

Srinivas.
