Craig Barrett visiting India on Dec 5

BANGALORE: Craig R Barrett, chairman of chip major Intel Corporation is slated to visit New Delhi on December 5, as part of his Asia-Pacific visit. The main agenda of his visit is to meet with Government officials and the company's top management in India.

This is Barrett's first visit as chairman of Intel. He retired and became the chairman of Intel's board on May 18, 2005. He visited India last November.

Coincidentally, Intel's competitor AMD Corp's CEO Hector Ruiz is in India meeting with ministry officials, customers, partners and company employees. Microsoft head honcho Bill Gates is also coming to India on December 9.
