Unisys announced the appointment of J. Edward (Ed) Coleman, 57, as the company's new chief executive officer.

Prior to this Coleman was associated with Gateway, Inc., as the chief executive officer.

He played played a major role in successfully restructuring the company through a series of strategic initiatives in its core market, culminating in its acquisition by Acer Inc.
