Outsourcing still in full bloom: KPMG survey
The consultancy said outsourcing is growing faster
MUMBAI: The year 2006 saw a lot of speculation about the decreasing level of outsourcing. But the recent findings of a KPMG survey says that 89 per cent of its respondents either want to maintain the current sourcing level or increase it.

Only 13 per cent said that “as many as half of outsourcing deals fail.

“Outsourcing is not slowing down, in fact it’s growing faster,” said Pradeep Udhas, Global Head, KPMG Advisory Services. “This industry is going to go much beyond where it is today.”

India has a special advantage. “Why is everyone coming here? The wages are high, the infrastructure is poor, and attrition is high? The answer is talent,” said Egidio Zarrella, Global Partner in Charge, KPMG Risk Advisory Services, during the launch of the survey report, which was held on the first day of the Nasscom’s India Leadership Forum 2007.
