Wipro designed and manufactured an innovative Front End and a Bumper system of a mid-sized 5 passenger vehicle. The final design was 22.4% lighter than the existing design. It exceeded performance objectives of stiffness, modal response; NCAP full frontal 35 mph crash and IIHS offset crash. Furthermore, the parts count was reduced from 28 to 12 enabling significant cost reduction through fewer stamping dies, less inventory and reduced assembly costs.
