On-demand software or Software as a Service (SaaS) is a strategy increasingly resonating with small and medium businesses (SMBs). According to market surveys, more than 60 percent of SMBs see on-demand software as a way to cut costs and increase productivity. Cashing in on this trend, vendors are pursuing the SMB market aggressively because smaller and mid-sized firms often lack enough dedicated IT staff to handle the operations and data backups.
