Pratima Harigunani PUNE: Clifford Chance, the world’s largest law firm might be just the Midas touch for Integreon, a specialist BPO for law firms and investment banks. As John Croft - President – Global Sales and Marketing shares inn an exclusive chat with Cybermedia News, “This deal will be a tipping point for the entire legal sector in our business.
” The venture, subject to appropriate consultation with Clifford Chance staff, is claimed to be the biggest off shoring initiative ever undertaken by a law firm, with more than $18 million in annual operating savings. Croft further affirms to the ripple effects of this jumbo deal, “Yes, we are talking to a lot more clients and considerable interest has been generated after this deal.” Integreon Managed Solutions, Inc., would be opening a service centre in Delhi to support the administrative functions of Clifford Chance. While Croft doesn’t give away any exact figures he admits that the Delhi centre will receive substantial investments with 300 seats dedicated to Clifford Chance, “We were looking for another centre in India for quite some time and this deal is a good opportunity to scale up our services for others too.” It will be a 45,000-square-feet facility opening in spring 2007 with 600 workstations and Clifford Chance as the anchor customer.” Among other customers to be serviced from here, an international bank and a strategic management consultancy are important ones. Croft added that this centre will also double up as a business continuity planning site in addition to its two cites in Mumbai that back up each other. Integreon will also be adding to its onshore footprint in US, Europe. “We would be upping our onsite presence in London and New York while plans to open a new delivery centre in the Philippines in the first part of 2007 are also on the anvil,” Croft informed. The company has completed a management-led buyout in partnership with the Ayala Corporation, in the Philippines last week and it is open to further acquisitions in future. Croft said, “We would be looking at opportunities that will compliment our growth and sector. We have chosen a small but a demanding client base so far with high levels of SLAs (Service Level Agreements).” Competing with run-of-the-mill BPOs is not what Integreon is looking for, he added. ©Cybermedia News
