Borland ties-up with Pragati Software

Partnership offers training programs to IT professionals and students on optimising software development and delivery through better processes and technology

BANGALORE: Borland India, a subsidiary of Borland Software Corporation, today announced its partnership with Pragati Software to offer training programmes to IT professionals and students on optimising software development and delivery through better processes and technology.

As a Borland Learning Partner (BLP), Pragati Software will run training programmes in several cities across India including Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mysore, Pune and Thiruvananthapuram.

The Borland Learning Partner (BLP) programme is aimed at providing knowledge dissemination, technical evaluation and training activities to support and encourage Borland's business vision of aligning people, process and technology for software delivery optimisation.

Course offerings span the entire lifecycle of software development, helping IT professionals learn the processes and technology required for successful project delivery and automation. Borland products that automate and enforce these processes such as the company's CaliberRM requirements management system and together visual modelling tool will be used to train students.

Courses on application lifecycle management (ALM), lifecycle quality management (LQM), and Borland tempo IT management and governance system will be part of the training programme. Specific modules will be designed in partnership with Borland.

Satyen Parikh, managing director, Borland India, said, “We selected Pragati as partners in our endeavour towards making process management a required discipline in the IT industry as they have the experienced faculty and facilities to support such an advanced curriculum.”

“In line with other Borland University offerings, these courses are organised by role, process, project stage or product, and leverage a broad array of customisable formats to address an individual's specific learning style or team arrangement. This allows people to develop the right knowledge and skills in a fast and familiar way,” he further added.

P Sharma, director and chief executive officer, Pragati Software, said, “Through this programme, we can train software professionals on better software development practices and smoother, more efficient processes that will improve their productivity.”
