Features: Motorola Inc. has launched its W205 mobile phone for the mass markets in India. It features 65K colour CSTN display, measures 14.9mm thick and supports a large internal phonebook with capacity for up to 500 contacts as well as the ability to store up to 750 SMS on the phone memory. “As Motorola looks to connect the next billion handset users, we are continuing to raise the bar for mobility with innovative features for Indian mobile consumers,” said Malcolm Dawe, vice president and general manager, Motorola India Mobile Devices. The handset also enables the consumer to download 32 channel polyphonic ringtones, iTAP predictive texts messaging with a Hindi read and write capability. It has 1MB of user storage and an office quality speakerphone. The battery provides talk time of up to approximately 470 minutes with standby time clocking in at up to approximately 307 hours. W205 also features a multi character phonebook search function with up to 12 characters, menu colour personalization, lantern capability, which illuminates dark environments, a calendar, a currency converter and a talking alarm clock, Motorola statement added.
