BANGALORE: Zensar Technologies, a software and BPO services provider has entered into partnership with Fujitsu Services to jointly go to global markets across Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) through a dedicated global delivery center (GDC) in Pune.
The GDC is targeted to grow to over 1000 technical staff over the next three years resulting in revenues in excess of $30 million for Zensar. The GDC infrastructure is already in place and has been integrated into the Fujitsu Services network. The center operations will begin with Fujitsu transitioning support of its internal applications to the GDC in April 06.
Commenting on this new development Jack Noble, managing director (Core Services), Fujitsu Services, said, “Zensar was a natural choice for us because we have been successfully working with them for five years and we are a major shareholder (29.7%).”
Commenting on this strategic initiative Ganesh Natarajan, deputy chairman and managing director, Zensar, said, “The key to successful offshore outsourcing now is in providing a long-term solution delivering sustained cost savings, increased quality, and improved customer focus. We are delighted to sign this strategic agreement with Fujitsu which will see us engage with their customers at a strategic business level to transform their IT portfolio and business processes.”
Under the term of the 5-year partnership contract, Zensar would build and operate a dedicated facility for Fujitsu that would be capable of delivering optimal business benefit through technical and business solutions. The facility would offer end-to-end services spanning across the entire range of Application Development, Maintenance and Support services including Migration and Testing, Remote Infrastructure Management Services, Product Engineering Services, ERP solutions as well as Business Process Outsourcing Services.
