BANGALORE: Hitachi Data Systems, provider of Application Optimized Storage solutions and a
wholly-owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd today announced the appointment of Sunil Sapra as
regional director for North.

Earlier he was in charge of Enterprise accounts at Hitachi Data Systems India.

Sunil joined Hitachi Data Systems in January 2005 and has helped Hitachi Data Systems solidify
its presence in the North and East. He will head the enterprise accounts team in the region and
will be responsible for advocating and promoting the entire range of HDS solutions to enterprise
accounts.

The team will work closely with customers, OEMs and partners to ensure customer satisfaction
through HDS solutions. The team will also provide support to the channels team in business
development activities and winning new accounts.

Sunil is a M.Sc. (Tech.) Science and Technology development from BITS Pilani, 1994. Before
joining Hitachi Data Systems, he was with VERITAS.
