Features: Canon India Pvt Limited has launched its eCopy Share Scan Open Platform solution. It integrates electronic paper document distribution with Canon device, which bridges the gap between the digital and paper documents.
Canon said in a release that with its eCopy solution, anyone could transfer even the high-resolution electronic copies of black and white or colour paper documents over the network to a specific destination in seconds.
Som Gangopadhyay, director- Business Imaging Solutions Division, Canon India elaborating on the product said, “With the eCopy Suite of products and the high-speed scanning capability of your Canon black and white or colour digital multi functional devices, organisations can improve document distribution and transform paper documents into information that is easily integrated into all business applications.”

eCopy provides organizations with the facility to scan and distribute black and white or colour paper documents allowing for wide adoption and a quicker return on investment. It enables a digital MFD’s scanning function to be shared within departmental or enterprise networks and business applications like documentum, open text etc. Native integration with corporate mail systems like Lotus Notes, Microsoft Exchange, or SMTP/LDAP allows IT managers to maintain address books and easy integration with document management systems from the MFD’s or at the desktop, Canon statement said.
Canon tied up with eCopy, a US-based enterprise document software company to provide Indian enterprises with a taste of global document management.
