BUBANESHWAR: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is now gearing up to set up its Global Software Development Center (GSDC) in Orissa, taken possession of about 3,800 square feet area in Fortune Tower in Bhubaneswar.
According to TCS VP, Ajoyendra Mukerjee, the building, expected to be built in two years, will accommodate about 1000 to 1200 professionals in the first phase and will initially employ about 200 IT professionals.
Orissa chief minister Naveen Patnaik laid the foundation stone for the center. Apart from meeting the needs of foreign clients, the development center will make multiple deliveries for the nation and the state government.
The TCS Global Software Development Center is slated to come up over 45 acres of land in the Infocity and the building and provision of other associated facilities in it are estimated to cost about Rs 40 crore.
