BANGALORE: MetricStream, Inc., a California based company, the market leader in the enterprise quality and compliance solutions, has announced its plans to expand its operations in Bangalore, India. It has set up a new and larger state-of-the-art facility in Koramangala, Bangalore with a capacity of 150. This new facility, which would be the India corporate office as well as the development center, would support MetricStream's rapid growth in India. The entire key product and application development for MetricStream's global customers would be housed in this new facility, stated a press release.
MetricStream India is the base for all other key functions as well, that include customer support, professional services, quality assurance and sales support Additionally the company has shifted and now handles it's global sales and marketing operations from the its Bangalore office.
Announcing the inauguration of the new facility, Gaurav Kapoor, CFO, MetricStream Inc, said, "MetricStream India is on a high growth path. Our Bangalore center commenced operations in 2001 with a headcount of 10, which has now risen to over 60. This is expected to double in 2005.The new facility further strengthens our commitment to India and the importance of the India center for MetricStream globally".
"Our India operations is core to our success. MetricStream has been investing steadily in India and expects to further invest at least $10 Million over the next 3 years in building infrastructure, manpower and leadership across all functions" added Gaurav Kapoor.
Recently, MetricStream had announced the launch of its 'Quality & Compliance Application' product suite – the MetricStream 3.5.
"The MetricStream 3.5 product suite was entirely built at MetricStream's development center in Bangalore, India. The Bangalore-based operations have successfully implemented the MetricStream solution at customer locations globally. MetricStream plans to launch the product for the Indian market, as we gear up for the India opportunity", concluded Gaurav Kapoor.
