NEW DELHI: On the eve of completing a decade of operations in Pune, Patni Computer Systems Ltd has announced its plans to ramp up its operations in Pune. The company would set up a new facility to accommodate 2,000 seats and has earmarked an investment of Rs 100 crore for this initiative. Patni is also on the lookout for 15 acres of land to build a campus, thus ensuring consistent growth in the Pune region. Its senior VP Vijay Khare said, "In the last 10 years we have continuously invested in physical infrastructure, domain capabilities and new service lines in Pune, to ensure our consistent growth. Our Pune operations have been key to the overall company growth especially in the insurance vertical. With the Cymbal acquisition, we now have a dedicated ODC at Pune servicing one of the largest Telecom companies in the US. Going forward, our Pune center will be strategic to our overall growth."
