NEW DELHI: New Horizons India Ltd (NHIL), the JV between New Horizons Computer Learning Centers and Shriram Global Enterprises Ltd, has announced the launch of its Kolkata training facility in East India. Minister of IT Manabendra Mukherjee inaugurated the new facility.
As part of its growth strategy, New Horizons plans to set up 15 centers in East India over the next one year with an investment of over Rs 10 crore. It has already set up centers in Jamshedpur and Guwahati in East India apart from its Delhi, Gurgaon and Bangalore facilities.
Announcing the plans of New Horizons' Kolkata center, NHIL president and CEO Ajay Sharma said, "Kolkata would be our epicenter for expanding our geographical reach in East India. Our Kolkata facility will look at leveraging our global leadership position in corporate training to provide customized programs aimed at the Enterprise and Corporate market The center would be an authorized learning center of Microsoft, Oracle, Red Hat and CompTIA. It would also be an authorized Prometric Testing Center".
Highlighting the USPs of New Horizons' Kolkata center, Kolkata Franchise owner Deepak Rampuria added, "The center is has three classrooms, each with 12 nodes. One of the classrooms has been dedicated as a Multimedia Zone, where NHIL will introduce almost the entire range of Multimedia products like 3DMAX, Studio Servers, Film and Animation, Discreet Software Gallery, Maya, Adobe Suite, Macromedia Suite etc."
Elaborating on the plans for New Horizons in East India, NHIL franchise manager east Nirmal Singh said, "NHIL East has trained over 1,000 learners from organizations like ONGC, TATA Steel, ITC, Metro Rail, IBM Global Services, Ushacomm, LIC, Hindalco, Indian Audit and Accounts department etc. NHIL East is also entering into strategic tie-ups with the State Government to extend its competencies in the ITES segment to train youths for the major BPOs entering the state of West Bengal."
