CIOL:NIIT Q4 PAT up 107 p.c.

NEW DELHI, INDIA: NIIT Limited, has reported a 107 per cent growth in PAT at Rs 17.1 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2007 and posted net revenues of Rs 256.6 crore up 123 per cent YoY.

The highlight of the quarter was a 100 per cent growth in revenues from NIIT's China operations which contributed 25 per cent of the system-wide revenue of individual business, NIIT said in a statement.

The global system-wide revenues of NIIT and its subsidiaries grew 65 per cent to cross the quarter billion dollar mark at Rs 1,116.3 crore, while net revenues stood at Rs 795.1 crore.

The company posted profit after tax for the financial year 2006-07 Rs 57.3 crore a growth of 43 per cent leading to a basic EPS of Rs 29.5, up 38 per cent.

The Board of Directors recommended an enhanced dividend of 65 percent on existing equity capital and a bonus of 1 equity share for every 2 held.

Rajendra S. Pawar, chairman, NIIT Limited, said, ''Opportunities created by high growth sectors are being addressed by new offerings and businesses from NIIT--Imperia, IFBI and Litmus.''

The individual learning business contributed 51 per cent to the global system-wide revenues followed by the contribution of 41 percent from the corporate learning business. The international revenues in the year grew to 59 percent of the total system-wide revenue.

NIIT added 954 people during the year taking the headcount to 3,213.
