CIOL:AppLabs attends makeover call

HYDERABAD: Software testing firm AppLabs is in for a makeover. With a renewed branding, the company is projecting itself as a global organization.

Earlier this month, AppLabs started spotting a new logo and a fresh tagline, discarding the earlier design.

The development is a consequence of the IS Integration acquisition, made last year. The new branding was required, as AppLabs had increased the number of clients and offering services to new verticals.

“Earlier, we were focused mainly on the US and Indian markets. But with the acquisition of IS Integration, we are now having presence in Europe. The new branding is to give the company a global look,’’ explained an AppLabs spokesperson.

The colors used for the earlier logo were not familiar to AppLabs’ European clients. AppLabs took the services of a UK-based advertising agency for the makeover.

AppLabs acquired IS Integration for $37 million in September last year. With the acquisition, AppLabs, founded in 1998, scaled to become the largest third party testing company in the world. IS Integration also provided AppLabs with a host of banking and financial clients.
