NEW DELHI: Continuing its investment in India, Google Inc. has announced the opening of its business operations in Delhi and Mumbai.
These operations are expected to complement existing centers in Bangalore and Hyderabad and are designed to enable Google to develop business opportunities, provide locally relevant products and services and deliver advertising services to its users, advertisers and partners throughout India.
The company has also appointed Ashish Kashyap as Google India's sales and operations country manager. His team will focus on continuing to grow Google's client base and business relationships.
Kashyap said, “We see an opportunity in India for Google to partner with businesses – through Google AdWords – to make an impact on their growth. The Google India team will forge relationships with businesses, partners and agencies throughout the region and enable them to take advantage of growth in e-commerce in India.”
These offices signify the launch of domestic operations of Google. Through these offices the company plans to do business locally and educate all its constituents like partners, advertisers, mobile operators, content providers, etc. It is targeting the existing online advertising space in India apart from creating new market space by educating all its constituents.
