BANGALORE: Infosys Technologies Limited today announced its participation at the World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meeting 2006 in Davos.

The company will participate in sessions on 'Creating Future Jobs' and the 'Emergence of India and China.' Nandan Nilekani, CEO, Infosys will chair a new initiative by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) – 'India Everywhere' and write a daily account on his experiences of Davos through his personal Blog, being hosted by the World Economic Forum.

In response to the changing nature of global employment and the social and economic consequences, Infosys will host a private breakfast debate on The Global Talent War on January 26, 2006. The debate will focus on how businesses can contribute to the social development of human capital.

The objective is to identify actionable ideas to ensure societies across the world provide the right environment and the physical and intellectual infrastructure for talent and skills development.

Panelists include David Arkless of Manpower Inc, Tom Glocer from Reuters, Suzanne Johnson of Goldman Sachs, professor Jagdish Bhagwati from Columbia University.

With the focus on India and China at this year's Forum, Infosys will participate in discussions to bring insight and experiences to businesses, on how to embrace the opportunities presented by these new economies.

The next frontier for business and society alike is how to tap emerging opportunities, by taking advantage of newly available resources, strengthening local capabilities, and adopting new business models.”
