BANGALORE: Bangalore based IT and R&D services provider, Mindtree Consulting, which is on an expansion spree at its Bangalore campus, is also eyeing growth beyond Bangalore.
Speaking to CyberMedia News, Vinod P Deshmukh, executive VP and CTO, R&D services, Mindtree Consulting, said, “ We have a small 100- member center in Hyderabad and have recently acquired around 10 acres of land in Chennai.” However, he said that that the company had not yet fleshed out the specifics of the expansion.
The company currently has around 3000 employees in Bangalore on its rolls at present and plans to add another 300 by March 2006. Early this year, Mindtree invested Rs 85 crore in a 5,00,000 square feet campus in the Global Village park in Bangalore. While part of the facility is under occupation, the new campus when complete can house 5000 employees.
Mindtree has 850 engineers in its R&D services team while the rest are involved in IT services. Deshmukh said that Mindtree's business had grown 80-90 percent over the last three years. Last year, the company recorded revenues in the region of $55 million and hopes to sustain the same momentum of growth of previous years.
