HYDERABAD: Vallent Corp today announced that it has appointed David Burks as its new vice president (sales) and general manager for the Asia Pacific region.
Burks has over twenty years of experience including more than fifteen spent in senior management roles in the APAC region. Initially, he worked for BT before moving to Kenan Systems, which was later acquired by Lucent and then CSG Systems.
His most recent position was with Metasolv Software as its Asia Pacific vice president.
“Our investment in people and resources in Asia Pacific underscores the importance we place on this region's role in the future growth of Vallent,” John Hansen, chief executive officer, Vallent, said in a statement released to the media.
Burks will lead Vallent's sales team for the entire region to capitalize on the growing demand for service assurance solutions that improve service providers' profits, customer satisfaction and return on network investment.
As General Manager for the Asia Pacific region, he will also oversee Vallent's Development and Global Support Center in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where the company recently announced tripling of the R&D engineering professionals.
“Asian operators are weary of always competing on price. I am excited to be working with Vallent which provides solutions to help operators reestablish their value proposition with their customers,” said Burks.
