BANGALORE: The TIME/CNN 2004 Global Business Influentials have released the list of their honorees for 2004. The honorees are a new breed of business leaders who have redefined the way business is done, with innovative management strategies and a commitment to transparency, clear accountability and even helping change society along the way.

TIME acknowledges Wipro's CEO and vice-chairman Vivek Paul's contribution in transforming Wipro Technologies from a USD 150 million software developer into a USD 1 billion force in offshore outsourcing, handling IT and customer service for companies. In the honoree list for 2004, Vivek Paul joins the elite company of renowned global business leaders as Jeffery Immelt, GE, Chuck Prince, Citigroup and Jamie Dimon, JPMorgan Chase.

With his home in the U.S. and his work in India, Vivek Paul has a dual take on the rise of global sourcing.
