MUMBAI: Affiance India, a recent entrant in the Indian Electronic Security market today unveiled the country's first sub Rs. one lakh digital video surveillance system. The new digital video recorder models AGS1100 and AGS1100NW are designed and priced to be made part of security installations for small areas, which use 4 or less cameras. While AGS110 is a standalone unit, AGS1100NW is a networkable system.

Continued advances of technology have resulted in visible surveillance emerging as one of the most valuable loss prevention, security and management tools available today. Accounting for at least 25 to 30 percent of the US $30 mn Indian security product market, surveillance is by far the most established sector in the Indian security market according to A&S Group.

The DVRs can take inputs from 4 cameras and store up to 80 GB of video storage, which can be enhanced up to 250GB for longer recordings. Very simple to configure, the system allows on - screen programming and can support upto 4 alarm outputs. Recording can be scheduled by time of day and day of week using the same or different triggers.
