There are some MIS sites we are maintaining. Front End: ASP 3.0 and Back End: SQL Server7.0 Till date all the code was working fine. Nowadays, wherever I have written a code for new row insert into any table of database, system is throwing Microsoft OLEDB provider error, and at same time record is getting updated in database. As system displays an error, user thinks that record is not updated and he does a duplicate entry. Please help me out in this, as I am not able recognize that why ASP code is showing this error, while record is getting updated in the database at the same time. We need to port a huge codebase from Win XP embedded to Win CE. The source files are around 18 MB (.h and .cpp files, including some third party SDK source code). This is a GPS enabled project. What, according to you, would be the estimated effort required in man-months. Plus, what are the challenges/problem areas that we should look out for? I have a situation to develop an application for thousands of clients spread throughout the country. It is a "Point of Sale" kind of situation. Can you suggest some of the low cost hardware for this? I have Tablet PC, or Palmtops or high end Mobile Phones or SIMPUTER in my mind, but all cost nearly Rs15,000 to Rs20,000. I need to compile all the data at one place.
