Trent-Gray Donald is a senior technical member of the IBM Java Technology Center team, currently providing technical leadership on the IBM Java 7 project.

He is also responsible for the consumability strategy for the IBM JVM, accountable for tools, education and many aspects of improving the customer experience. He has historically been a team lead for the JavaSE JVM team (codenamed J9). Previous efforts include development roles on the VisualAge for Smalltalk and VisualAge for Java teams.

Trent holds a Bachelor of Mathematics (Computer Science) at the University of Waterloo, Canada.

Trent will answer queries on IBM's Technology focus areas for Java Runtime, IBM's initiatives on Consumability which includes significant efforts on the Java Runtime tools portfolio and also in the areas of challenges in virtualized and multi-core environments.
