Mr. T.M. Vijayaraman has over 30 years of professional experience in architecting, designing and building systems and teaching computer science to professionals. While he has largely specialized in the area of databases, he has wide exposure to different technologies, languages and systems. Prior to joining Persistent Systems, he was at National Centre for Software Technology, Mumbai and has actively participated in designing many of its technology education programs.

He has been an active member of the Database Community and has served in the program committee of many of the international conferences. He was a programme committee co-chair for the International Conference on Very Large Data Bases 1996 (VLDB96) in Mumbai, International Conference on Data Engineering (ICDE) 2003 in Bangalore, and the International Conference on Management of Data in 1991(Mumbai) and 2005(Goa).

Vijayaraman holds post-graduate degree in Computer Science from IIT Madras and a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Calicut.
