NEW DELHI, INDIA: Alcatel-Lucent today appointed Vivek Mohan as president for its India operations.

Ravi Sharma, president of South Asia business, has been appointed as advisor to Frédéric Rose, president of Europe, Africa and Asia (EAA) business, on Asian Regional Operators.

In his new role, Sharma will support the business in South and South East Asia and India, in developing and implementing a sound and profitable strategy to accompany Asian operators in these markets.

Mohan has been part of Lucent Technologies since 2001 and after the merger he has been heading Services business for Alcatel - Lucent in South Asia.

He holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from California State University and MBA from Harvard Business School.
