The site has seen a significant increase in the range of social and communication applications available to consumers, which is also reflected in the level of downloads taking place. GPS and location-based applications have been also growing in popularity this year.
In the UK and USA, messaging applications are among the most popular, together with browsers and mobile utilities, GetJar statement added.
