Comtec Solar lifts 2011 wafer production forecast

HONG KONG: Comtec Solar Systems Group Co Ltd will raise its 2011 production forecast for wafers by 40 percent, its chief executive said on Tuesday, reflecting strong demand for alternative energy sources.

The company expected wafer production to reach 1,400 megawatts this year, up from its previous forecast of 1,000 megawatts, Comtec Solar Chief Executive John Zhang said.
