ComPulse to partner with Satyam

HYDERABAD: ComPulse Systems Pvt. Ltd., a Hyderabad based company is all set

to partner with Satyam computers to provide its VCM (Virtual Cluster Management)

tool to its customers worldwide.

"It will take about a month to formalize the agreement. Satyam is

already using the product for its evaluation of the technology at an internal

level and in about a month's time the product will be given to its clients

globally," said, Prateek Jaswant, MD of ComPulse.

VCM provides a platform-neutral, distributed and scalable solution for

managing and monitoring mission-critical applications and business-critical

systems. The product provides monitoring, event management and capacity planning

functions that could help an organization to get the maximum out of their

operations.

The product comes with a standard set of monitoring and event management

component that can be used to start monitoring and managing applications upon

installation without any additional customizations. VCM covers the system,

network and database aspects of an application integrated into one tool.

"Administrators of e-business applications and services must have access

to historical and current performance information to manage growth proactively

through capacity planning. VCM product suite provides tools and functions to

perform comprehensive capacity planning and performance analysis of the various

enterprise applications and system resources," he explained.

ComPulse Systems has just closed its first round of funding received from the

Bangalore based Fund National Venture Capital Fund (NVCF) . The company received

less than Rs 1 crore. NVCF is promoted by a group of former bureaucrats and has

invested in more than 20 firms, including the Hyderabad-based Bharat Biotech

International.

Meanwhile, ComPulse has deferred its plans to venture into the US markets by

at least more than one year. Instead, the company intends to focus on the

domestic market. The company plans to offer VCM with Web-based move towards

remote management of IT infrastructure. The tool is available in two versions,

the full enterprise suite as well as a basic monitoring lite version.

"The company is offering a migration path to a management framework with

a suite like VCM at lower cost, to help the CIOs in the endeavor, there are tow

extreme options, very expensive management frameworks and inexpensive point

tools. Now, ComPulse offers a cost effective option with its tools not only

bridging the gap but also migrated path to frameworks." Jaswant added.
