BANGALORE, August 19: Compaq Computer India Pvt. Ltd. has announced the debut of the
Compaq Presario 4016 home PCs run on the new Intel Pentium III 500 MHz processor. The new
Compaq Presario is a Pentium home PC, whose high-end processing speed makes it ideal for
multimedia and gaming functionality and the ATI RAGE 128 VR graphics card provides
superior graphics quality. The PIII Presario comes with 64 MB RAM, 8GB hard drive and a 6X
DVD ROM. Priced at Rs 99,995, it includes a 17" monitor, 10 hours of free Internet
time, and a built in 56.6 Kbps modem. The package is complete with a World Book CD-ROM,
in-built software worth Rs 15,000 and a free color printer.

The new Pentium III 500 MHz Compaq Presario PC is available through Compaq's
nation-wide network of 67 stores. Compaq will provide support and services through service
centres in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Calcutta, Bangalore, Pune, Cochin and Ahmedabad.
The current range of Compaq Presario PCs, based on the Celeron is targeted at the
entry-level, first time PC user. Compaq Presario also has a variety of Pentium III 450Mhz
machines of varying configurations for multimedia functionality at affordable prices.
