Compaq launches solutions alliance program in India

BANGALORE: Compaq India has launched its Compaq Solutions Alliance (CSA)

program in India. A worldwide program from Compaq, the CSA is designed to meet

the needs of Compaq enterprise focused partners including ISVs, VARs, systems

integrators, consultants and service providers, an official release stated.

The CSA program is for companies who design, develop, implement and support

customer solutions on Compaq platforms. Several Indian partners including

Financial Software & Systems, Infosys Technologies, i-flex Solutions, Lister

Technologies, Opus Software, Jataayu Software, Suvi Information Systems, Chenab

Information Technologies have already signed on for the program.

The CSA is designed to provide developers, integrators and consultants with

focused deliverables that help them reach Compaq customers both in India and

worldwide, quickly and easily with greater market impact, the release stated.

Through the program, India partners will gain exposure to Compaq's extensive

base of customers and can leverage Compaq's sales and marketing programs for

targeted business and market segments. The ultimate goal of CSA is to create a

"knowledge network" for Compaq's enterprise partners and grow

incremental business for both partners and Compaq, through increased solution

offerings and extended market reach.

leverage Compaq's global customer base through our marketing infrastructure.

India partners can leverage Compaq's technical and market intelligence support

to identify and exploit business opportunities worldwide. The program is

designed around a collaborative engagement model with partners and will ensure

the broadest support to CSA partners," said Compaq India managing director

Balu Doraisamy.

CSA members will have access to India Program Center Support. The center is

located out of Bangalore and will provide 24x7 support to members for technical,

. Members will receive personalized communications through Partner

Preference, CSA online newsletters and technical journals.

Another key feature of the program includes attractive discounts on purchases

of Compaq hardware and software, and preferential access to development and

porting centers such as Compaq's Solutions Expertise Center (FIEC) in Mumbai.

India members will be listed in the worldwide CSA directory and will be eligible

for country-specific lead generation programs. The Compaq CSA program has more

than 4000 member companies and 17,200 individual subscribers worldwide.
