Compact Disc bags $15.70-mn deal

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Compact Disc India Ltd (CDI), integrated Media and Entertainment company, has secured a film animation outsourcing contract worth $15.70 million to animate a film on Taj Mahal.

This deal is to animate the true love story titled ‘Eternal Love’ surrounding Taj Mahal. This animation feature film would be released in December 2009.

Suresh Kumar, chairman, CDIL, said, “This is a milestone for CDI and an important achievement for the Indian Animation industry. The history of Taj Mahal is deeply rooted in the culture and heritage of India. CDI is the largest animation outsourcing company in South Asia and signing of this project to animate the film on Taj Mahal will help maximize our growing International business opportunities.”
