Cognizant tops Forbes Hot Shot list

HYDERABAD: Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation, has announced that it has been ranked the top company overall in the Forbes 2003 Forbes' Hot Shots 200 Up & Comers list of best small companies in America. This is the second time that Cognizant has been rated Top Company overall in the last five years, in addition to being the top technology company twice.

Forbes evaluated companies based on growth in sales, earnings and ROE for the past five years and the latest 12 months. Cognizant's five-year sales growth was 43 percent, EPS growth was 49 percent and ROE was 24 percent. Its 12-month sales growth was 53 percent, EPS growth was 50 percent and ROE was 26 percent.
