The City of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma is now the fourth city to adopt digiTICKET since its recent launch.

MacroSolve, Inc., parent company of Anyware Mobile Solutions, to deliver digiTICKET, Anyware’s electronic ticketing solution.

Upon the implementation of this five year contract, the Broken Arrow Police Department will transition from hand writing traditional paper tickets to creating them electronically using digiTICKET on rugged handheld computers for motorcycle officers and laptop computers in patrol cars. Electronic ticketing dramatically reduces the time required to issue and manage tickets while significantly improving officer safety and decreasing waste throughout the entire process.

“This vendor was chosen by the users group for its flexibility and local technical support,” stated Major Berryhill Operations Division Commander, City of Broken Arrow Police Department.

digiTICKET allows officers to enter driver information automatically into the application by scanning the bar code on the back of a driver license, says a press release. The officer can enter multiple violations and capture the driver's signature electronically, all in a matter of minutes. The reduced time to issue tickets decreases the minutes an officer is standing roadside, where they are exposed to unnecessary risk.

In 2008, the leading cause of death among U.S. police officers was being struck by a vehicle. The reduced use of paper products combined with the time saved in elimination of manual data entry at ticket processing points will allow Broken Arrow to cut operating costs around ticket processing. In addition, city revenues can increase through a reduction in unusable tickets due to manual errors on paper tickets.
