MUMBAI, INDIA: Citrix Systems, a provider in application delivery infrastructure solutions, announced on Wednesday the launch of its new hypervisor that is being developed in collaboration with Intel Corporation and it would be productized in an upcoming solution from Citrix code-named “Project Independence.”

This strategy is built on last year's debut of Citrix XenDesktop a market-leading enterprise virtualization e solution that would enables the IT to significantly reduce costs by delivering server-based, hosted virtual desktops to office workers as a centrally-managed service, said a press release.

Combined with XenDesktop and the rest of the Citrix Delivery Center product family, Project Independence would transform the way corporate desktops are delivered and managed, giving IT all the security, simplicity and cost savings of centralized management, with performance, personalization and freedom for end users, the release added.
