Citrix inaugurates sales office in Bangalore

BANGALORE, INDIA: Citrix Systems, Inc., the global leader in application delivery infrastructure has announced the inauguration of its new sale office in Bangalore. The new sales office at Miller's Road is strategically located with the aim of consolidating India operations. With a clear focus of serving its partners and customers better, the sales team of Citrix has moved to the new office under the same roof as the R&D organization.

Speaking at the occasion Souma Das, Area Vice President, India, at Citrix Systems said "Citrix India has grown 67% year-on-year for the first half of 2008.  Our customer base has increased by 225 and to-date, we have 2500+ customers across the industries and they include: HDFC Bank, Mahindra & Mahindra Finance Limited, Newswire 18 & Jet Airways among others".  Das further added, "Today we are extremely delighted at the inauguration of this new office to accommodate more employees as we grow and this further reinforces our commitment to increase our footprint in India. In addition to the expansion of the new sales office, Citrix has also recently announced to invest $200 million in India in the next five years towards expanding the R&D facilities which will house teams performing core development research work across the Citrix Delivery Center product.
