Citrix, HP, Intel to offer server virtualisation

BANGALORE, INDIA: Citrix Systems, Inc. enters into a strategic partnership with HP and Intel to offer server virtualisation solutions through its Citrix XenServer.

Integrated into Intel-based HP ProLiant servers, Citrix XenServer enables businesses of all sizes to lower costs, improve productivity and better allocate resources across their server environments.

Citrix and HP have been collaborating since 1996 to enable customers to implement and manage a virtualised environment with ease and efficiency. Both companies work together to provide customers with joint engineering solutions, supported by a dedicated HP team cooperating with Citrix sales, operations, marketing, consulting and integration services and technical development.

Similarly, Citrix application delivery infrastructure is optimised on Intel platform. Together with Intel, Citrix is enabling our customers to deliver all applications securely at the lowest cost, while optimising bandwidth, reducing power consumption, eliminating complexity and costs in the datacentre.

Leveraging the power saving advantages of Multi-core Intel Xeon 64-bit server platforms, Citrix and Intel deliver the highest possible number of users per server while significantly lowering power and space requirements in the datacentre.
