Citrix appoints business head for cloud networking

Citrix has appointed Jatin Bakshi who was associated with Amazon Web Services in a business development role, where he worked closely with technology start-ups

MUMBAI, INDIA: Citrix has appointed Jatin Bakshi as the Business Head, Cloud Networking, India Subcontinent.

In his new role, Bakshi will work closely with customers and partners to accelerate adoption of the company’s application delivery networks, WAN optimization and virtualization solutions.

Commenting on this appointment, Parag Arora, Area Vice President & Country Head, India Subcontinent, Citrix, said, “With disruptive technologies like mobile, cloud and analytics transforming business applications, optimizing application delivery strategy becomes critical for user experience and business success. Jatin’s appointment strengthens our focus on the networking segment and his rich experience will be an asset to Citrix’s Indian business.”

Bakshi added, “The IT networking teams are dealing with two paradigm shifts. One, network virtualization based on SDN, and NFV is getting mainstream and two, how to deliver applications securely and maintaining user experience as more users use mobile for application consumption.”

Prior to Citrix, Bakshi associated with Amazon Web Services in a business development role, where he worked closely with leading technology start-ups. He has also handled sales and product management responsibilities at Oracle, NetApp, British Telecom and Avaya.
