KOLKATA: Cisco Systems, a company dealing in networking for the Internet, has launched its first Rapid Fulfillment Depot (RFD) in eastern Eastern India in Kolkata. The facility will stock parts and supplies for the entire range of Cisco products, enable 24x7 services and support to customers and reduce delivery cycles to four hours for products and spares. Further, it will provide support to Cisco's customers by reducing their inventory levels.

The RFD will strengthen Cisco's presence in the East (including Bangladesh and Nepal) and help address the networking needs of this fast growing market. It will support Cisco's customers and will provide the company a roadmap to grow its channel ecosystem in the East. The new RFD reiterates Cisco's commitment to customer satisfaction in India and follows the launch of its Service Logistics Facility in Bangalore in October 2001.
