Mobile app platform vendor to provide full technology transparency and hands-on developer enablement tools

NEW YORK, USA: Worklight, HTML5, hybrid and native mobile app platform for smartphones and tablets, is launching a special program to enable enterprise and ISV mobile developers to take full advantage of its technology, offering free download of its fully-featured mobile application platform for evaluation purposes, self-guided technical tutorials and more.

“While there are many mobile technology vendors in the market seeking to untangle the complexity of developing and delivering mobile apps for customer and employee use, most compromise on user experience or developer efficiency and lock organizations into proprietary development technologies” said Ori Sternberg, VP Services at Worklight.

“Our approach is unique because we allow developers to use a variety of popular mobile technologies under a single platform, while adding mission-critical, enterprise-level capabilities and advanced server-side features with unparalleled technology openness and flexibility.”

The mobile developer program provides enterprise and ISV developers:

* Free 30-day evaluation of the fully-featured Worklight Mobile Application Platform, including the Worklight Studio, Worklight Server,
Worklight Device Run Time Components and the Worklight Console
* Over 40 tutorials and code samples covering the entire lifecycle of the mobile application.
* Support Portal and Forums providing platform-specific support, enterprise integration and application development guidance by Worklight Customer Support staff
* Resource Library including product and technology datasheets, whitepapers and webinars on HTML5, hybrid apps and beyond, as well as comprehensive documentation and guides

According to the release, Worklight is the only provider of Mobile Enterprise Application Platform (MEAP) and Mobile Consumer Application Platform (MCAP) technologies that enable developers to build apps using HTML5, native coding or a hybrid combination of the two approaches, without use of interpreting or compiling layers and without locking companies into proprietary vendor-specific

Worklight also enables use of development technologies such as Sencha Touch, jQuery Mobile, and Dojo Mobile, as well as cross-platform frameworks such as Adobe PhoneGap, all within the same mobile project, added the release.
