This year, you can track Santa Claus live on Google Earth

BANGALORE, INDIA: Christmas, an occasion that brings joy to millions of people across the world, is here again. Christmas is an annual commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ and a widely observed holiday. However, another thing children look forward to while celebrating Christmas is Santa Claus.

Santa Claus is generally depicted as a portly, joyous, white-bearded man, sometimes with spectacles, wearing a red coat. He is said to bring gifts to the homes of the good children during the late evening and overnight hours of Christmas Eve. Thanks to Google Earth, this year, children can track the whereabouts of Santa Claus on their computers.

Google has a live feed of Santa's journey on its official tracker. In addition to the Santa tracker online, there's a new extension for Google Chrome and an Android app for smartphones and tablets, according to a report on IBTimes. To track Santa live, click here. The map currently shows that Santa has covered all Indian cities already.

People can also leave customised messages from Santa to their loved ones via email, Google+ or phone call. There is also an option to call Santa and talk to him via Google. To leave a message for your dear ones and/or talk to Santa, click here.
