Will Google release much rumored new Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie in early 2013?

Yes, suggest latest rumors which also speculates that the new OS would indeed set foot before Jellybean could ever complete one cycle.

For 2012, Google released Android 4.1 and 4.2 Jellybean as their latest firmware version and next year

IB Times reports one Manu Cornet, a Google employee, confirming the new Android version's name and having showed the image of Android evolution since its first very stable release.

The image demonstrates the ever changing progress of the OS platform from a slow Android holding a gingerbread then honeycomb as it continues to feel livelier with an ice cream sandwich, jellybean, and the key lime pie.

Thanks to XDA Jellybean 4.1 can run on a lot of devices. My Captivate runs 4.2.1 on 512MB RAM pretty cleanly. So, unless KLP is super-bloated then rest assured that even us poor folk with some know how will see it sooner than most.

hopefully it won't require 2GB RAM (like on most recent super phones) OR else v5 will be limited to select phones only.
