Pakistan refused to accept the letter informing them of Kasab's hanging and returned it
MUMBAI, INDIA: Pakistani national Ajmal Amir Kasab, the sole surviving gunman of the Mumbai terror attack of November 26, 2008, was hanged in a Pune jail at 7.30 a.m. today, after his mercy plea was rejected by President Pranab Mukherjee earlier this month.
Kasab was buried inside the premises of Pune's Yerawada Central Jail shortly after the execution, Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan told journalists. Kasab did not leave behind any will, the chief minister said.
Pakistan refused to accept the letter informing them of Kasab's hanging and returned it. However, a video of Ajmal Kasab's confession available on YouTube says a different story. The video, which was uploaded three years ago, is that of a narco-analysis test being conducted on Kasab. Kasab mentions in the video that he and his family stay in Pakistan.
''My father persuaded me to join Lashkar. He said we are very poor, we can earn money like others. It's not difficult,'' said Ajaml Kasab in the video. He also talks about his entire family and where they stay. To watch his confession, click here. What are your sentiments about the execution of Ajmal Kasab? Do let us know.
