NEW DELHI, INDIA: Even as the industry mounts pressure on the government over reserve pricing for the upcoming 2G spectrum auction, the Empowered Group of Ministers (EGoM) is yet to take a final call.
The EGoM is expected to meet soon to decide base price, while the government is indecisive over date for next meeting to be presided by Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee.
Union Home Minister P Chidambaram who is also one of the 11 EGoM members today said that the government would take a decision on base price in next EGoM.
The top court had in Feb 2 decision, asked the government to facilitate auction of 2G spectrum by August 31.
