NEW DELHI: Seagate Technology, global supplier of hard disc drives, said it has formed the  Seagate Regional Customer Councils, comprised of channel partners from all regions of India.

With this move, Seagate aims to gain direct customer analysis and input as to the effectiveness of its programs in this fast-growing market.

The Regional Customer Councils will include a cross section of enterprise partners, system integrators, retail partners and sub-distributors.

“The Customer Councils will be our think tank and feedback mechanism to ensure that Seagate keeps up with the rapidly-evolving needs of this unique market,” said Rajesh Khurana, Seagate country manager for India.” This initiative ensures that we place our trust in partners who can provide deep insight and strong direction relative to our target markets, business trends and competitive requirements. Seagate will focus on understanding the different ecosystems that are in place and thinking creatively about new business models, alliances and relationships that might yield new revenue streams to maximize the business opportunity available to us.”

Seagate also recently launched its Seagate Partner Program in Singapore, Australia, China, and India with a promotion and advertising campaign.

The company has also initiated an SMS Customer Care and launched two mobile service vans, which provide customer support services at the main technology markets in New Delhi and Mumbai.
