NEW DELHI: Information management and storage company EMC Corporation, said it will hold a roadshow targeting SMBs across 8 cities in India.

The roadshow is a part of EMC's 'Making Storage Simple' campaign to address the information management needs and challenges of mid-sized enterprises and small and medium sized businesses.

EMC, and its local partners, will meet with customers and prospective customers in Chandigrah, Kolkata, Jaipur, Bhopal, Indore, Ahmedabad, Pune and Hyderabad in the next two months.

Targeted at growing businesses across verticals like Manufacturing, IT & ITeS, Education, Design & Media, the road show seeks to address the backup, retrieval, archiving, business continuity and data consolidation requirements of these businesses.

EMC offers specific solutions that are targeted at the mid-sized enterprises and SMB space including Express Solutions for backup and recovery, archiving, email, protection and consolidation.

EMC will also launch a special Storage Area Network (SAN) bundle for an entry level EMC AX 100 with prices starting from Rs. 1,88,000.

Speaking at the launch of the roadshow series, Manoj Chugh, President, EMC India & SAARC, said, "Mid-sized enterprises and SMBs in India today need to do more with less. With IT budgets growing marginally on one hand and information growing exponentially by over 60 percent on the other, these companies find it challenging to manage and protect huge amount of critical data in the most cost effective way."

"According to analyst reports', SMB's are expected to increase their storage spending by 150 percent in 2005 over the $43.2 million spent last year.
