NEW DELHI: After offering email security for large organisations, IronPort Systems is planning to launch a web security product for the small and medium businesses.

IronPort Systems, a provider of email and Web security products, it provides high performance, easy-to-use, and technically innovative products for those faced with the monumental task of managing and protecting their mission-critical networks from Internet threats.

Ambarish Deshpande, regional director, India and SAARC, IronPort, said that they are planning to launch an email security product for the SMB space. “The products we have launched till now are for large organisations with many users. Now we are coming up with products for the SMB space, which is growing. We are planning to launch email security products specially designed for the SMBs in the next three months time,” Deshpande said.

“Globally the email traffic has increased 200 times more compared to last one year, which proves that email security has become vital for all organisations- small or large. This makes our products vital for every organisations,” he added.

He said that they follow the channel market strategy for marketing their products. There are 15 channel partners in India, which market their products across the regions. The company had started their operations in the country early 2006. “In the last six months time we have added 35 customers in India. We are targeting to add 100 customers globally within this year,” he added.

Speaking about its products on web and email security, Deshpande said that the company is also focusing on the government departments to market its products. He said that with the E-governance initiative by the government, there are huge opportunities in the government space.

Deshpande said that the company is expected to earn revenue of $110 million within this year. The company had earned revenue of $72 million in 2005.
